There are many things that we don’t ever expect to happen to us. Other people, maybe. But not us. Not only can such things happen, but they do happen, and they happen to normal, average people. Often, we have no control over what happens. You just have to roll with it. But if you’ve just learned that your child has a birth defect, in today’s day and age it is possible to avoid the consequences: you can terminate the child.
Few of us will have to face that choice but we did. We chose life. We want you to know why so if you find yourself in a similar situation you will choose likewise.
I hope that you will read our story recounting the bitter days after learning about her condition at our 20 week ultrasound and hear us out to the end on why We Chose Life: Why You Should Too.
“We Chose Life should be on the bookshelf of crisis pregnancy centers and OB/GYNs. … Thank God for the gift of life first then thank Dad. He is the defender of the family, especially its most vulnerable members. Mary Ann Kreitzer, LES FEMMES.read the whole review
“Anthony writes from the perspective of someone who has faced the difficult decision and, not without great trial and struggle, willingly chose the hard but right path. His words are not pious platitudes based on a narrow and uncompromising point of view. Rather, his is a voice of meaningful experience.” Patrick Ferry, President of Concordia University Wisconsin.
“Making a choice between continuing or terminating a pregnancy in which the unborn child has little chance of a normal or healthy life is one of the most significant emotional and moral decisions one will every make in life. I found We Choose Life to be sensitive and informative for helping people make the hard decision to walk from pain to joy rather than take the easy road of ending the life of a child.” Eric C. Redmond, Author, Where Are All the Brothers?, Second Vice-President of the Southern Baptist Convention, 2007-2008.
“I see this book as a wonderful resource at pregnancy resource centers……or for pastors who might counsel couples experiencing a ‘crisis’ pregnancy.” Connie Davis, president of Lutherans for Life of Michigan.
“In this small, but power-packed book, Anthony Horvath shares one of the most heart-rending stories a parent can tell… [He] explains in clear, concise terms the reasons why they chose life and why it makes sense for others to do so. [The Book] would be an excellent asset to: pregnancy resource centers, pro-life libraries, and natural family planning group libraries [and] Pastors and counselors …” Jean Heimann, Catholic Fire.
